Captain CrossFit, in collaboration with AzOPT, proudly presents the 2025 Hotshots 19 Memorial Event & Fundraiser this weekend! This is a commemorative competition and community gathering honoring the memory of the 19 fallen Granite Mountain Hotshots. This annual event blends fitness, remembrance, and community spirit, complete with competition heats, food and drinks, and family-friendly programming.
Event Schedule & Highlights
Early Check-In
- When: Friday, August 22, from 4:00-7:00 pm
- Where: Founding Fathers, 214 N. Granite Street, Prescott
- Perk: Enjoy 20% off beer from 3:00-7:00 pm!
Event Day – Saturday, August 23
- Gates Open / Check-In: 7:00 am
- Warmup Area: Opens one hour before each heat – plan accordingly if you’re competing or cheering.
- Competition Hearts:
- Noon Heat: A few spots still available – register soon!
- 1:15 pm Competition Heat (Finals): Features athletes vying for custom belt buckles from Boaz Construction and the coveted Traveling Trophy – only seven competitor spots remain.

Food, Fun, and Recovery
Beyond the competition, the Hotshots 19 Event is designed as a full-day experience for the community. La Tapatia food truck will be on-site with breakfast burritos, tacos, burrito bowls, and other fuel for the day, while Lazy G Brewhouse will provide cold beer to keep spirits high. Games and activities for all ages will run throughout the event, ensuring it remains family-friendly and engaging.
Athlete wellness is also a focus, with Elevate IV Bar offering a recovery station for hydration and revitalization, and AzOPT providing on-site support to keep participants performing their best.
