Lakeshore650: A Solution for Prescott Valley’s Future

Prescott Valley (PV) is at a crossroads. While citizens support managed growth, a political action committee (PAC) has formed to stop Lakeshore650—a homegrown project addressing the town’s challenges.

The alternative? Unregulated sprawl with no water management or wildlife protection. This type of growth doesn’t generate tax revenue and threatens the environment. Lakeshore650 offers sustainable community building that benefits all.

Lakeshore650’s net-neutral water use model is crucial in a region where water conservation is key. It also integrates wildlife corridors and creates housing and jobs, allowing young people to stay and thrive locally.

Lucy Leyva, PV resident, small business owner, and former Town Council member says, “The Lakeshore650 project, embodies a beacon of progress and promise for our community’s bright future. It’s a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful urban planning and community investment. This project will be a great source of employment for many trades for many years to come, and will bring positive growth into our area in so many ways.”

Despite these benefits, the PAC is gathering signatures to halt the project. Over 1,700 Prescott Valley residents have voiced support, and the Town Council approved Lakeshore650 on September 12th.
