Last week, TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Prescott Valley broke ground. In just 16-18 months, Prescott Valley will be opening its first upscale, extended-stay, limited-service hotel. The location of the Marriott is at the northeast corner of Main Street and Florentine Road, adjacent to the Findlay Toyota Center. The hotel’s location is prime for a walk to events, restaurants, shopping, and more.
“We are less than a quarter mile from Prescott Valley’s Central Entertainment District, and people like to walk,” says Dane Beck of the Beck Legacy Group. At this central location, they can walk to restaurants, movies, live theater, bowling, and mini-golf, plus all the sports, concerts, and other events held at the Findlay Toyota Center.
The hotel’s 93 rooms will sit on 2.1 acres in Downtown Prescott Valley.
Dane explains the challenges bringing this project to fruition have entailed, “All projects are unique and the timing of this one presented opportunities and challenges. The TownePlace Suites by Marriott aims to round out the hospitality options in the Prescott Valley market and complement the existing hotels by offering an extended stay option with a fully equipped kitchenette, ample closets, and “thoughtful” spaces for both living and working.
“This is a different market than a lot of tourist markets,” Beck says. “Construction brings people, and the housing market is picking up. People want to move here and may need an extended stay option while their home is finished up. Other industries bring business travelers as well—retail, insurance, and manufacturing executives. It all helps to support and grow the local economy.”
