The fifth Signature Series event hosted by Fain Signature Group was held May 15th at The Center in Prescott, Arizona. The free event featured a variety of panelists from the housing industry to talk about attainable housing.
Speakers included: Joe Contadino, Owner and President of Universal Homes, Brad Fain, President and CEO of Fain Signature Group, Nicole Kennedy, Member of Workforce Housing Committee for the City of Prescott, Bruce Rosenberg, Executive Director Prescott Area Habitat for Humanity, Courtney LeVinus, President and CEO of Arizona Multihousing Association, Stephanie Robinson, Neighborhood Services Director for the Town of Prescott Valley, and Jon Rocha, Owner and Founder of Southwest Homes.
Panelists discussed an array of topics including challenges in housing and what the organizations are doing to solve housing shortages. There was also a time for FAQs from the crowd to be addressed by the panel.
Major issues contributing to the housing crisis noted were NIMBYISM, zoning case lead times, inflation, permitting processes, as well as rising construction and labor costs.
