100 Men Who Care of Yavapai County to Support Local Children with Annual ‘Shop with A Cop’ Fundraiser

In a heartwarming effort to make the holiday season brighter for local children, the 100 Men Who Care of Yavapai County are excited to announce their next major fundraising event. The beloved gathering aims to bolster the annual December event, Shop with A Cop, by raising crucial funds to enable children to enjoy a shopping spree alongside local law enforcement officers. This year’s fundraiser is set to take place at 6 PM with doors opening at 5 PM on May 30th at Espire Sports in Pine Ridge Marketplace (formerly Prescott Gateway Mall), located at 3400 Gateway Blvd.

Attendees can look forward to an evening filled with heavy hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and the esteemed company of Prescott Police Department, and other regional partners. These agencies will join forces to ensure this year’s Shop with A Cop event is a resounding success.

Prescott Police Chief Amy Bonney shared, “We’re so honored that 100 Men Who Care are hosting this event to help us get a jump start on raising funds for our local kids in need. Every year, we aid approximately 70 children whose families face multiple challenges during the holiday season. It’s incredibly touching to see the lists kids bring, not just for themselves but also for what their siblings and family members are hoping to receive.”

Scheduled for early December, the Shop with A Cop event fosters an environment where children can positively interact with officers, breaking down barriers and building trust. Children are nominated for the program by teachers, coaches and others who know they may benefit. The initiative is not only about gifting but also aims to boost self-esteem among children and portray law enforcement in a supportive, friendly light.

The 100 Men Who Care event welcomes public attendance, with an entry fee of $100.00 per person. All proceeds will directly support the Shop with A Cop initiative. “Our goal this year is to raise at least $50,000 to make Christmas extra special for some deserving children in our community,” stated Ron Fain, President of 100 Men Who Care.

Since its inception in 2019, 100 Men Who Care has raised over $230,000, contributing significantly to local charities and nonprofits. The organization operates on a quarterly basis, with proceeds from each event being awarded to a charity voted on by its members.

This May, join the 100 Men Who Care of Yavapai County in making a difference in the lives of children and help kindle the joy of the holiday spirit.
