In a vote by the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, the 1874 Solar Project by the Fain Signature Group and rPlus Energies will continue to move forward with plans on developing the new solar power and energy storage facility. The solar facility is expected to generate energy for approximately 20,000 homes. This new solar power will be put directly on the grid, delivering a sustainable energy to the area while providing better quality of energy for homes.
Minimal Impact on Environment, Landscape, Wildlife
Rich Hamilton of rPlus Energies ensured that the necessary studies to protect the land and wildlife will be completed before building begins as these projects always involve the State of Arizona as well as Fish and Game.
The 1874 Solar Project, named in honor of the year the Fain family settled in the Territory of Arizona, is being designed with the intention to keep the views intact and while having minimal impact on the environment. The project also received approval from the Board for fencing rather than block wall. Fencing allows for minimal visual disruption as it tends to blend in with the background.
A Source of Tax Revenue Without the Burden of Heavy Usage on Environment, Water, Town Facilities and Roads
As a positive development to the area, the 1874 Solar Project will not only bring reliable and clean energy, but will also be a new source of income for the area.
