Fains Move to Clean Up Lynx and Rose Creeks

Love of the Old West, Independence and Gold Mining Still Alive

Northern Arizona is well known for its rich history deeply rooted in the old west complete with cowboys, homesteaders, farmers, ranchers and of course, gold miners. Recent developments in the Lynx and Rose Creek areas of Prescott Valley prove that history of the Old West is still very alive and well.

Over the past several months, there has been a build-up of encampments and gold miners working the creeks on private property.  The Fain family, founders of Prescott Valley and homesteaders since the 1870’s, has recently begun efforts to clean up the Lynx and Rose Creek areas, adjacent to Fain Park.
